About
A 2,500 sf net-zero home located near Tabernash, CO (climate zone 7— the same climate zone as much of Alaska!) The home utilizes a super tight building envelope to minimize air leakage, and numerous passive solar design features to take advantage of free heating provided by the sun. The client was very pleased with the finished product, and often expressed his satisfaction with the year-round comfort and energy efficiency of the home.
What makes it special: I was the sole production person on this project, and in order to produce the Construction Documents, I modeled the entire building (including many details.) This was a great way to learn how to put together a Net-Zero home!
